Privacy Policy

ChefComply (“ChefComply”, “we”, “us”) provides food-safety compliance software for professional kitchens. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers both the ChefComply web app and the ChefComply iOS app.

Information we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account details — name and email address you provide when you sign up or are invited to a kitchen.
• Kitchen & compliance data — the checklists, temperature readings, corrective actions, equipment, and HACCP plans your team records, along with the timestamp and the staff member attributed to each entry.
• Photos — images your team optionally attaches as evidence to a checklist item or corrective action.
• Device identifiers — a push-notification token (Expo) so we can alert owners and managers to out-of-range temperatures and missed checklists.
• Purchase status — whether your organisation has an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple (in-app purchase) or Stripe (web); we never receive or store your card details.

How we use it

We use your data to run the service: to display and generate your compliance records and audit-ready PDF reports, to send transactional emails and alerts, to identify who completed each task, and to maintain your subscription. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that make ChefComply work, and only as needed: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Resend (transactional email), Apple and Stripe (payments and subscription status), and Expo (push notifications). Each processes data on our behalf under its own security commitments.

Data retention

We keep your compliance records for as long as your organisation’s account is active, so your history stays available for inspections. If you close your account, contact us and we will delete your organisation’s data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your choices

You can view and edit your profile and business details in Settings. You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by emailing hello@chefcomply.com. Push notifications and Face ID are optional and controlled on your device.

Children

ChefComply is a business tool intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
